Everybody loves entertainment, and they have their favorite ways of getting entertained. Two major ways of getting entertained are live music shows and theater. Nonetheless, only a small percentage of the youth choose these. This essay will explain a cause of this situation. Moreover, it will make a case against motivating the young to visit live music shows and a case for frequenting theaters.

A major reason for only a few youngsters’ opting for live music programs is the ticket prices. That is to say, such events have entry fees in the thousands. To illustrate, a reasonably popular Punjabi pop star’s show can cost you around 2,000 rupees per person. Since a majority of the youth do not have such high amounts to spend, they steer clear of the shows in question.

Furthermore, low attendance rates at theaters are a result of their limited appeal. To be precise, the age group at issue wants to have the best experiences given by movies. What youngsters get to see in a drama performance is made ten times better by a movie. For instance, making the theater stage look artificial, the locations in a movie are varied and exquisite. Hence, if the young get something far grander by paying the same amount, why will they select the less appealing alternative?

Subsequently, there is no need to motivate the population group at stake to enjoy live music shows. Their money can be put to better use, and the same songs can be heard at home. For example, they can buy a music system with the same money to have a similar experience.

On the contrary, the youth must experience theater performances. To elaborate, films, which are mostly commercial and frivolous, do not give a push to the artist inside us. Theater, on the other hand, is an immersive experience; you will get to realize the artistic appreciation inside you. A case in point is a Hamlet show watched by me. I was moved to such an extent that I started studying literature seriously.

In conclusion, a great many youngsters are deterred from live music events and theater experiences owing to high ticket prices and more glamorous films, respectively. While it is good to save money by avoiding the former, the importance of the latter must be emphasized for esthetic empowerment.
