Around the world, the rich are becoming richer, and the poor are becoming poorer.
What is the cause of this?
What are some solutions?
Globally, the wealth of the wealthy is increasing, and the financial conditions of the financially weak are becoming worse.
One primary reason for this is the economic systems. That is to say, all over the Earth, the rich are the controllers of economies. In order to maximize their profits, they keep increasing the prices of their commodities. As a result, the poor have to spend more money, and their status worsens. For instance, the prices of grocery items rise almost every six months in India. The poor Indians have to adjust their budgets so as to comply with the risen prices.
A good strategy for dealing with this issue is total government control. To be precise, if the governments controlled the economies completely, it would make goods affordable to almost all. Consequently, the poor would be relieved, and the wealthy would not be able to exploit them. For example, state-run schools charge minimal (or no) fees to a child of every financial background.
Similarly, the poor should be encouraged to spend less money and invest more of it. In other words, it is often seen that the financially weak use up what they earn. They do not invest part of their income in something that can get them more money. Hence, by investing their money in various programs, the poor can improve their financial conditions. To illustrate, they can save some money to buy a plot of land. Thereafter, they can sell it for a higher price and make a profit.
In conclusion, privatization is a significant factor that is widening the gap between the rich and the poor. Nevertheless, total state control on economies and investments by the financially weak can help the world a great deal in this regard.
