A few individuals are of the opinion that performers earn more than they should get while affecting the public in a bad way. A few others propose that their remuneration is well-deserved owing to their beneficial influence on people.

The former group base their viewpoint on the financial disparity prevalent in today’s world. That is to say, there are people working as much as performers work, but they earn only a fraction of what artists do. For instance, my father works from 9 am to 7 pm. So is the work duration of most actors. Nonetheless, my father’s monthly salary will amount to a fairly popular actor’s daily compensation. The harmful societal influence is put forth owing to the misdeeds of some performers. In other words, sometimes, such individuals do some inappropriate acts. Because of the immense popularity of their doers, these inappropriate acts become breaking news. As a result, the performers’ reputation is marred. For example, Deepika Padukone, a famous actress, was criticized by all and sundry when she was accused of a drugs-related issue.

Those who opine that artists ought to get what they get on account of their public benefice have a foundation of pleasure. To be precise, there are some humans who think that the ultimate aim of life is happiness. Further, a source that gives happiness is a blessing, and a person who gives merriment is no less than God. Since performers’ acts are a big cause of entertainment and happiness, the pleasure-devotees vouch for extensive sums and many more things given to artists. To illustrate, there are many people who write letters in blood to their favorite celebrities in order to “thank” them.

In my opinion, the influence of performers on the public is exaggerated owing to their clout. Artists are humans just as we are, and they do good and bad deeds just as we do. To give an example, it is not only performers who take drugs; many commoners also do so. Hence, how performers affect us is reliant on how we perceive them to be. In regard to the financial imbalance, this essay states that it is more about the business than it is about the societal impact. The more money a business makes, the bigger shares its stakeholders are going to get. Moreover, entertainment depends much more significantly on performers than on organizers. Consequently, performers will earn large amounts. A case in point is singers. If a singer’s songs make the organizers earn a lot of money, he is going to get a large proportion of it, and vice versa.

In conclusion, the impact of artists on the general populace is subjective and overemphasized. Furthermore, what they earn is entirely dependent on their salability.
